Me and Laurents decided to try out Warmachine after Laurents bought a small Cryx army (intending to use them as 40k necrons). My fraction of choice are the Russian inspired Khador warriors, hailing from the ice cold northen region.
To start my army up I bought a battlegroup consisting of 2 warjacks and a warcaster along with a box of Widowmakers - a nifty 4 man sniper squad. All this add up to a quite potent 15 points army. Since I'll be beating up Cryx for starters the next addition is likely a Spriggan warjack and a unit of infantry - possibly Winter Guard or Iron Fang Pikemen. The Spriggan will take care of any of the Cryx stealthy units while the infantry is intended to shield my warcaster while tarpitting any problematic units.
The models in the latest battlegroup boxes are made from a plastic like resin, quite a bit harder and heavier than the GW plastic models, one downside to this material is that the usual plastic cement can't be used, the parts can only be glued with super glue like metal models.
I assembled my first warjack tonight, a Juggernaut melee orientated heavy jack. The intended pose for the model is quite boring so with a few modifications I managed to pose the model a bit more aggressively.
