I set up a small photo stand on a table next to my paint stand so I can take some better pictures while I create my army. Making a photo stand is pretty simple, a flat surface, glue some pieces of while paper together and hang them on the wall behind the stand and let them lie flat over the table and over the edge. Add some lighting (I use two halogen working lights from a cheap hardware store) and you're all set.
If you have a tripod, use it, if not you can do fine holding the camera in your hands.
You may have to adjust the white balance on the camera to your light, but most camera's do it automaticly.
The Gouged Eye was happy to line up for a photo shoot, wouldn't you be after spending the last few years in a box?
